Sonsray Machinery LLC. operates 13 CASE construction equipment dealerships located in    California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Sonsray Machinery LLC. Provides comprehensive sales, as well as parts and service support, including rental and leasing programs for Case customers. As we continue to grow, Sonsray Machinery is seeking a Director of Sales to join our dynamic organization based out of corporate office in Torrance, CA.

The Director of Sales will be responsible for growing new equipment revenue, increase market share and ensuring the company delivers the highest level of customer satisfaction experience possible. Trains, coaches, and mentors Sales Staff in a matrix management environment while the Sales Staff will report directly to the Store Manager.

The Director of Sales must be able to work with employees, at all levels of the company, to grow sales and customer satisfaction by providing problem-solving resources, implementing procedures, providing timely and accurate reporting and be able to also focus on same growth.  This position reports directly to Vice President of Sonsray Machinery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned and may include focus on one or more markets at any given time.

  • Develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI targets are met
  • Oversee the interviewing, hiring, and training of new sales employees to ensure qualified personnel are recruited
  • Setting individual sales targets by sales person, tracking sales goals, overseeing the activities and performance of sales staff
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics
  • Coordinate store market development activities such as open houses and tow and shows
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Work with management on all levels of company to meet and exceed customer service initiatives
  • Ability to travel up to 90% of the time to Sonsray Machinery locations, customer locations, trade shows, and other as required to grow business

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable
  • A minimum of 5 – 8 years’ experience in sales and sales management or senior management within construction equipment or equivalent industry
  • Demonstrated ability to write proposals and negotiate contracts, create local marketing plans and manage geographically diverse business interests
  • Business development knowledge from evaluation through integration and implementation
  • Ability to work with and include all levels of the organization in the decision making process
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and strategically to assess market conditions
