The Sonsray Fleet Services Business Development Manager position is based out of Corporate Office in Torrance, CA and reports directly to the President dotted line to the Regional VP’s.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for increasing Sonsray Fleet Services (SFS) division market share through the identification and development of new prospects and closing new business in the Western states territory in California and Nevada. The BDM responsibilities will be service and sales operations, selling business–to-business fleet service management solutions for trailer, truck and tractor repairs. The position will also require of implementing & structuring the SFS division logistics service support operations.

•         This position requires to be based out of Torrance, CA and travel 50% within CA & NV.

•         Qualifies prospect through consultative selling process which includes effective Pre-Call Planning by information gathering, interviewing or other activities.

•         Comprehensively sells company solutions including trailer, truck and tractor repairs to new prospects and engages in expansion opportunities of current clients when appropriate.

•         Ability to structure and implement service support logistics operations.

•         Gains access to C suite executives and delivers professional presentations to prospective client's teams to gain overall agreement to select Sonsray as partner.

•         Secures long term client commitments that can deliver long term, sustainable growth.

•         Provide organization with overview of marketplace and other competitive.

 

EDUCATION/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

•         Bachelor Degree is highly desired or work equivalent experience.

•         Minimum 10 years of professional sales/business development and operations management experience.

•         Highly prefer heavy equipment, truck/trailer rental and leasing, OEM or truck dealership industry.

•         Able to travel 50% within CA & NV.

•         Must be a hands on manager with a proven track record of growing the business.

•         P&L management responsibilities.

•         Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

•         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

•         Public speaking experience in front of large audiences, and with excellent presentation skills.

•         Must be able to demonstrate ability to interact professionally with all levels of our customers and internally.

•         Must have a can-do attitude and the drive to succeed.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

•         Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
