Sonsray Fleet Services is seeking a Fleet Services Business Development Manager to join our dynamic organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Fleet Services Business Development Manager will be starting a new fleet services division for a growing, successful and stable company. This is an outside sales position and shall be responsible for attaining and developing new business. The Fleet Services Business Development Manager is a hands on management position and will be responsible in building and developing a working business plan with the executive team. This position reports directly to the President.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for increasing Sonsray Fleet Services (SFS) division market share through the identification and development of new prospects and closing new business in the Western states territory in California and Nevada. The BDM responsibilities will be service and sales operations, selling business–to-business fleet service management solutions for trailer, truck and tractor repairs.  The position will also require of implementing & structuring the SFS division logistics service support operations.

•        The BDM position is based out of our Corporate office in Torrance, CA or Vernon, CA dealership.

•        Travel up to 50% within CA & NV.

•        Qualifies prospect through consultative selling process which includes effective Pre-Call Planning by information gathering, interviewing or other activities.

•        Comprehensively sells company solutions including trailer, truck and tractor repairs to new prospects and engages in expansion opportunities of current clients when appropriate.

•        Ability to structure and implement service support logistics operations.

•        Gains access to C suite executives and delivers professional presentations to prospective client's teams to gain overall agreement to select Sonsray as partner.

•        Secures long term client commitments that can deliver long term, sustainable growth.

•        Provide organization with overview of marketplace and other competitive.

 

EDUCATION/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

•        Bachelor Degree is highly desired or work equivalent experience.

•        Minimum 5 years of fleet service maintenance for heavy diesel trucks and/or transportation trailers is required.

•        OEM or Truck dealership industry experience will be ideal.

•        Outside sales and new business development experience is required.

•        Operations management experience is highly desired.

•        Able to build and develop a working business plan.

•        Able to travel up to 50% within CA & NV.

•        Must be a hands on manager with a proven track record of growing a start-up division.

•        P&L management responsibilities.

•        Must be a self-starter and be able to work well within an unstructured environment.

•        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

•        Public speaking experience in front of large audiences, and with excellent presentation skills.

•        Must be able to demonstrate ability to interact professionally with all levels of our customers and internally.

•        Must have a can-do attitude and the drive to succeed.

Related titles and experience may include Service Manager, Sales Manager, Director of Sales, Service Maintenance Manager, Fleet Services Manager, Fleet Services Director or similar experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

•       Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
